Vivienne Westwood to launch 2026 Bridal Collection at BBFW
British design house Vivienne Westwood will headline the 2025 edition of the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) with a runway show on Barcelona Bridal Night. The house will launch their 2026 Bridal Collection with a catwalk presentation, the first dedicated exclusively to its bridal collections.
Headlining BBFW, on the evening of April 24, 2025, Vivienne Westwood will present 30 new dresses in the beautiful Claustro, University of Barcelona, a 19th century building with more than 150 years of history and Catalan architecture. The choice of an historic and educational center to showcase the collection was key to Vivienne Westwood, with both elements intrinsic to the history of the house.

Vivienne Westwood joins the global houses that choose the BBFW for their international presentations before buyers, industry professionals and opinion leaders, celebrities, and media from around the world. In its latest editions, Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week has hosted shows by internationally renowned brands such as Giambattista Valli, Viktor & Rolf, and Elie Saab, among others.

Vivienne Westwood is one of the last independent global fashion companies in the world, with a design record spanning over fifty years, At times thought provoking, this design house is about more than producing clothes and accessories.
Vivienne Westwood was an influential British fashion designer, known for her rebellious spirit, she stood out for her revolutionary creativity and activism in defense of human rights and the environment.
Westwood combined traditional British design with radical punk aesthetics, using materials and techniques that broke with established norms. She was one of the key figures in the creation of the punk and new romantic movements and her characteristic style was strongly inspired by works of art.
In 1989 she met Andreas Kronthaler, who would later become her husband and long-time design partner, as well as the Creative Director of the Brand, of which he continues in her namesake.

World leader in bridal fashion
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, organized by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Ministry of Business and Labor of the Catalan Government, will bring together the ecosystem of the bridal fashion industry in its next edition at the Montjuïc venue, where collections from renowned bridal fashion, ceremony, and eveningwear and accessories brands will be presented.
From April 23 to 26, BBFW will host the shows of around 30 designers on its runway, and from April 25 to 27, the tradeshow will gather over 360 international brands, becoming the epicenter of networking and business for professionals, buyers, entrepreneurs, and operators in the global bridal sector.
