The International Electric Vehicle Symposium will tackle the future challenges
Technological advances will be highlighted at EVS27
The technological advances in electric vehicle batteries and charging systems as well as the industry’s main future challenges will be the main topics at the International Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exhibition (EVS27), which will be held from November 18h to 20th in Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via Exhibition Centre. Over 500 experts from around the world, more than 170 exhibitors and 10 international pavilions will turn Barcelona into the world capital of the electric vehicle.
The list of keynote speakers includes Olivier Onidi, the European Commission’s Director of Innovative and Sustainable Mobility; Ahmad Pesaran, Center for Transportation Technologies and Systems of Denver (USA); and Jeff Doyle, Director, Washington State Department of Transportation (USA), specialist in transport and finance policies and strategies for advancing electric mobility technologies.
170 exhibitors from around the world will showcase the sector’s latest trends and innovations. There will also be 10 international pavilions with companies from China, Canada, Netherlands, Slovenia, Norway, France, United Kingdom, United States, Denmark and Germany.
The EVS is regarded as the global electric transportation industry’s premier forum. Barcelona is hosting it for the first time after winning the bid over other European candidates (Paris and Geneva). The last edition held was held in Los Angeles in 2012 when 3,000 visitors came and 160 exhibitors and 2,950 professionals participated.
