Fira de Barcelona organises 11 shows around the world this year
IOT Solutions Congress lands in Brazil to accelerate industrial innovation in the country
IOT Solutions World Congress arrives in Brazil to celebrate its first spin-off abroad. Fira de Barcelona’s leading international event on the transformation of industry through disruptive technologies is launching a Brazilian edition from 6 to 7 June at the Transamérica exhibition centre in São Paulo and expects to bring together 5,000 visitors from 20 countries, 50 exhibitors and 45 speakers.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona together with the Brazilian hub of smart cities, iCities, and the support of the government of the City of São Paulo and São Paulo Business, under the motto ‘Touch the unlimited possibilities of innovation’, the first edition of IOT Solutions Congress Brazil (IOTSCB) aims to be the annual meeting for leaders, experts and professionals in the sector in the South American country. The event will address topics such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins, Augmented Reality, Connectivity and Cybersecurity, among others.
Ricard Zapatero, Director of International Business at Fira de Barcelona, said that ‘we are very pleased to add another show to Fira de Barcelona’s international portfolio, which demonstrates the vitality of our events, as well as the institution’s important role on the international trade fair scene’. Zapatero added that ‘Brazil is one of the Latin American countries that is experiencing the greatest growth in the IoT market, hand in hand with strong investment in the 5G network, and that is why IOTSCB wants to accompany it on this path of transformation of the industry’.
The show will have a congress part with leading experts who will share their knowledge and experience on the future of industrial innovation. Among the 45 speakers will be Ricky Ribeiro, founder of Mobilize Brazil; Robin Bass, owner of Allons Vent; Waldemir Cambiucci, director of emerging technologies at Microsoft Brazil; and Tanja Jacobsen, co-founder of Hofstra.
There will also be an exhibition area where 50 companies will take part, showcasing a wide range of disruptive products and solutions that respond to current market challenges and at the same time establish new contacts. Among the participating companies and organisations are Boston Robotics, ICI, the Smart Cities Institute, and the Itaipu Technology Park.
The event’s programme will be rounded off with a space for start-ups that will bring together 130 emerging companies and a Testbeds area with real applications of cutting-edge technologies.
