Fira de Barcelona will host Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global from 2021
Barcelona will host in 2021 Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, the world’s leading seafood trade event, that is currently held in Brussels, Belgium. Today, Diversified Communications, the organizer of the event has announced its decision of moving to Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue in Barcelona, Spain, to ensure the event’s development in a city and a facility that ensures long-term growth. The last edition hosted more than 29,288 seafood buyers and suppliers from around the globe with 2,020 exhibiting companies.
After 28 years in Brussels, Belgium, including the coming edition that will take place on 21-23 April 2020, rthe trade show will hold its 29th edition on 27-29 April 2021 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue. The organizers have explained that the decision is the result of extensive market research based on exhibitor and attendee feedback over the years and an evaluation of major destinations throughout Europe.
To the organizer, headquartered in Portland, Maine, USA, Barcelona’s position as an international destination, a major seafood hub in Europe as well as its robust hotel offering, and state-of-the-art trade show venue have been key aspects in a decision that seeks to provide attendees and exhibitors considerable value for their investment and a larger, modern venue that will present long-term growth opportunities.
