BBFW Celebrates Excellence at the Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards 2025
What is the top wedding dress for 2024? Which collection stands out this season? Who is the designer of the year? A panel of experts has selected the finalists for the Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards 2025. The ceremony will award the most outstanding creations and professionals in the bridal and occasion wear fashion industry worldwide, during a gala hosted by designer and television personality Randy Fenoli.
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week launches a new edition of the Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards, aiming to celebrate the creativity, innovation, and talent of those who are shaping the future of this fashion industry. Today, the event announced the finalists for its six categories.
In the Bridal Dress category, top-tier designers such as Isabel Sanchís (Spain), Georges Hobeika (Lebanon), and Antonio Riva (Italy) stand out for their dazzling and masterfully crafted designs. In the Bridal Collection category, the finalists Viktor & Rolf (Netherlands), Carta Branca (Belgium), and Lorena Formoso (Spain) have presented collections that redefine contemporary elegance.
Sophistication and glamour take the spotlight in the Red Carpet Collection category, featuring iconic designers such as Ines di Santo (Canada), Temperley London (UK), and Zuhair Murad (Lebanon), renowned for their dreamy red-carpet creations. In the Image Campaign category, the award for best visual campaign will be contested by Stephane Rolland (France), Katy Corso (Ukraine), and Madrid-based Alejandra Oria, all of whom have elevated fashion communication to a new level.
Lastly, an award will also be presented to a Destination Wedding Planner, selected from a group of agencies shortlisted with the collaboration of Barcelona Turisme for their outstanding work and ability to turn each wedding into a unique experience. Finalists for this award include La Puta Suegra and La Petite Mafalda (Spain); LA FÊTE (UK/France); La Ciel (South Korea); Robert Hykl (Lebanon); Anna Frascisco and Bianco Bouquet Weddings (Italy); and Luxury Events by Kevin Lee (USA).
Honorary Awards
In addition, the jury will also acknowledge the career and contribution of individuals and brands in the industry with five Honorary Awards. These include the Barcelona Brand award, which honors the Catalan firm that brings the most visibility and impact to the city of Barcelona around the world; the Lifetime Achievement award, a tribute to the career of an iconic designer; the Historical BBFW Brand, which pays homage to a label that has played a key role in the history of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week; the Stand Design award, given for the best presentation within the event; and the coveted People’s Choice, awarded by public vote via Instagram to one of the brands that showcased at BBFW 2024.
Distinguished Jury
An exceptional jury comprised of prominent figures from the worlds of design, journalism, and fashion will be tasked with selecting the winners from among the finalists. Among the 22 experts on the panel are Miren Vives, director of the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum (Spain); Shelby Wax of Vogue US; Corinne Pierre of Brides Magazine (USA); Ayuka Matsumoto of ELLE Japan; and Giovanni Sparacio, editor-in-chief of Elle Spose (Italy). Their expertise will be key in honoring the most innovative and influential brands in the industry.
The trophies, designed by Laura Carmona and Carol Pascual from Valencia-based studio Cual, reflect the fusion of craftsmanship and design and embody a commitment to sustainability—a philosophy that defines the spirit of the event.
In this way, the Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards are firmly established as an unmissable event in the industry’s calendar, celebrating excellence and passion for bridal fashion in a gala that will take place on the evening of Saturday, April 26, as part of BBFW 2025, the leading international event for the bridal, ceremony, and eveningwear industry.
