Barcelona Degusta, a festival good enough to eat
Lovers of good food should be sure not to miss Barcelona Degusta, a unique festival for discovering, tasting and buying the most amazing products and ingredients. The event is held in the Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue and includes more than 90 activities, workshops, tasting sessions and master classes given by 10 Michelin-starred chefs.
Some of the acclaimed chefs taking part include Joan Roca, Carme Ruscalleda, Fermí Puig, Nandu Jubany, Carles Gaig, Carles Abellán and Ada Perrallada, to name but a few. Other new activities include the children’s cooking workshop in the new Degusta Kids space and open-air concerts.
As well as its numerous activities, Barcelona Degusta is also a showcase for a huge range of Designation of Origin products, delicatessen delights and organic foods, and features monographic areas dedicated to wines, cheeses, breads, patisserie and artisan beers.
This year’s event is being held alongside BCN&CAKE, the creative patisserie fair that showcases the latest trends in artisan baking and the world of chocolate and also plays host to numerous activities and workshops.
