AUTOMOBILE BARCELONA is here, technology and motors rolled into one
Fira de Barcelona and the City of Barcelona are furthering their involvement with innovation and technology trade fairs, where they are already a world leader with events like the Mobile World Congress, IoT Solutions World Congress and Smart City Expo World Congress.
AUTOMOBILE BARCELONA will be held from 11 to 21 May 2017 at the Recinto Montjüic de Fira de Barcelona.

At the media presentation for this new show, Enrique Lacalle, President of AUTOMOBILE BARCELONA stressed: “The Barcelona International Motor Show, which is nearly 100 years old, is being transformed to include the latest technology and focus on the future and current needs of the automobile industry. TECHNOLOGY: Connected Hub 11 and 12 May
This event is “core” to AUTOMOBILE BARCELONA’s new spirit and will have the support of Mobile World Capital, Smart City Expo World Congress and Industrial Internet Consortium. Connected Hub will have three different areas each tackling, from different angles, the technology and solutions that are already carving out the future of automobiles and mobility worldwide.
– Inspirational Arena. A congress lasting two days in which the industry’s leaders will share their vision and strategy. The programme of talks will include the connected vehicle, safety, smart mobility and the ecosystem of alliances between the various technology and automobile industries.
– Innovation Square. This space will include the latest developments of the connected car, digital transformation, geolocalisation and cyber safety, platforms, 3D printing, infotainment, consultants, big data and components. By means of the agreement with Four Years From Now, Innovation Square will receive the participation of the sector’s most innovative international start-ups.
– Smart Street. A big demo area in which companies and brands will demonstrate the most advanced technology applied to vehicles. This big open space will be a showcase in which trade visitors, the specialist technology and motor press and the end consumer can witness the sector’s latest developments in an interactive and practical way.
MOTORS: Motorshow 11-21 May
The new AUTOMOBILE BARCELONA is a world first and an ideal stage for the automobile industry to present its latest developments. This show will maintain the Barcelona International Motor Show’s tradition of hosting big events, activities and international premiers.
It will also conserve its spirit of demonstrating and introducing the public to the current offer and the upcoming launches in the entire industry, generating a direct link with users. AUTOMOBILE BARCELONA will be held from 11 to 21 May 2017 at the Recinto Montjüic de Fira de Barcelona, the dates coinciding with the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix. The 11 and 12 May are reserved for Connected Hub, and for the press and the Motorshow’s trade visitors. AUTOMOBILE BARCELONA will open its doors to the public on 13 May 2017.
