The Mobile World Capital Barcelona Board of Trustees ratifies the agreement extending MWC Barcelona until 2024
This morning, the Mobile Word Capital Barcelona Board of Trustees held one of its periodic meetings at Barcelona City Hall to assess recent activities and to decide upon future action.
The most significant development at the meeting was the ratification of the agreement extending MWC Barcelona to 2024, a circumstance that consolidates the city’s positioning as world mobile capital. Another of the main outcomes of the meeting was the inclusion on the Board of Trustees of Nadia Calviño, Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation of the Government of Spain, and Carme Artigas, Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.
The Board of Trustees is formed by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, the Regional Government of Catalonia, Barcelona City Hall, Fira de Barcelona, GSMA, the operators Telefónica, Vodafone and Orange, as well as Damm and CaixaBank.
