It will be the first gathering of both sectors in Europe since the start of the pandemic
Hispack and Alimentaria FoodTech will set the starting point for the recovery of the sector
Hispack and Alimentaria FoodTech will be a turning point for the packaging and food and beverage equipment, technology and ingredients industries. The trade shows will once again coincide from the 19th to the 22nd of October 2021 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue to boost commercial activity, business opportunities and exports of goods and equipment. And they will do so with a clear boost to internationalisation hand in hand with amec, in an economic context that is expected to be more favourable.
The joint celebration of Hispack and Alimentaria FoodTech will make it possible to take advantage of organisational synergies and increase the convening power of both trade shows among companies and professionals from their respective sectors, thus helping to consolidate their status as benchmark events for the markets of Southern Europe, where a large proportion of their professional visitors come from.
In this sense, the recently ratified collaboration with amec, the community of internationalised industrial companies, through its groups amecalimentec and amecenvasgraf, as well as with other leading sector associations, will further boost the participation in both trade shows of international buyers interested in acquiring equipment and technology from the industries represented.
Thus, the two trade shows will work together with amec in the selection of key countries for the export of both packaging and food technology and equipment for the processing and preservation of food and beverages, and will select a group of international buyers from the countries with the greatest purchasing potential in Europe, Latin America, the Mediterranean basin and North Africa.
The platform jointly represented by Hispack and Alimentaria FoodTech offers a complete overview of the food product life cycle, from the ingredient to the equipment and technologies for all stages of the manufacturing process, including packaging, logistics and its arrival at the point of sale. Hispack will also showcase packaging, process and logistics solutions for production sectors such as cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceuticals and automotive, among others.
Innovation, sustainability and digitalisation
In addition to internationality, both trade shows will promote innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability and the digital transformation of companies through their exhibition offer, training and networking activities to contribute to the reactivation and economic growth of their industries.
Both Hispack and Alimentaria FoodTech will take place during the same week as the Gastronomic Forum Barcelona, at Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuic venue, and the Global Forum for the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact, where, as part of Barcelona’s World Sustainable Food Capital, 200 participating cities are committed to developing sustainable, fair and healthy agri-food models.
In their last joint edition in 2018, the trade shows brought together nearly 1,100 direct exhibitors from 30 countries and more than 38,000 visitors, 10% from abroad.
