The Hostelco Awards acknowledge innovation and excellence in the Horeca channel
Hostelco, the International Trade Show of Equipment for Catering, Hospitality and Collectivities, has announced the 7th Hostelco Awards with the aim of recognising excellence and innovation in nine categories relating to different projects, products and services in the Horeca channel. The “Best Catering Concept”, “Best Kitchen Project” and “Best Sustainable Product or Solution” will be among the awards chosen by the jury made up of experts and professionals from the sector.
With the aim of celebrating the most significant achievements and advances in the industry, Hostelco has once again announced its awards which, over six editions, have acquired major relevance and full recognition within the industry. Their success is due to the high level of participation in each of the calls, the quality of the innovations submitted and the first-class jury, made up of renowned professionals from the different areas of hospitality, including economists, businesspeople, managers, consultants and chefs, who guarantee comprehensive, objective and expert evaluations of the nominees.
Thus, the Hostelco Awards will be presented within the framework of the fair on 20 March 2024, at an event that will bring together the participants and operators in the sector. The 10 awards are divided into four categories: Horeca, Solution Product, Distributor and Professional.
The “Solution Product” category, which debuts this year, focuses on recognising procedures that address the different challenges facing the Horeca sector with a creative, innovative and sustainable approach, concentrating above all on human resources management, talent retention, business administration to optimise quality and results, the introduction of sustainability criteria into all the processes and the different ways of improving the customer experience.
The “Best Product or Solution in Human Resources”, “Best Product or Solution for Business Management”, “Best Sustainable Product or Solution” and “Best Product or Solution for Customer Experience” will be awarded to the participants in this category. Only companies that exhibit at Hostelco will be eligible for awards in this category.
The “HORECA” category will assess the candidates for the “Best Hotel Food & Beverage Concept”, “Best Catering Concept”, “Best Interior Design Project” and “Best Collective Catering Concept”, all key areas that constitute the essence of the Horeca channel. Moreover, an expert with a long career path aimed at promoting at least one of the numerous facets of the Horeca sector will be presented with the “Best Career” award.
Finally, distributors of equipment, goods, machinery products and accessories will have their own category for the first time. It will be known as “Distributor” and candidates will be eligible for the “Best Kitchen Project” award. Intended exclusively for this collective, the award will focus on acknowledging the key role of these professionals in the supply chain and their ability to contribute to innovation and quality in the Horeca channel.
National and international applications that submit innovative and sustainable proposals made between 2022 and 2024 will be accepted. Companies and professionals who wish to participate can send their applications until 16 January 2024 via the website at www.hostelco.com.
Hostelco and Restaurama, the global response for the Horeca channel
Alimentaria & Hostelco, organised by Fira de Barcelona, will be jointly held from 18 to 21 March 2024 at the Gran Via venue. As the main platform for the sector and a promoter of business, internationalisation and networking, it intends to bring together over 3,000 exhibiting companies and welcome more than 100,000 visitors.
At the next fair, for the first time, the expected 600 exhibitors from Hostelco, Restaurama and Coffee, Bakery & Pastry (the cross-cutting sector geared towards both the Horeca channel and retail) will occupy Halls 4, 6 and 7 of the Gran Via venue in a fully integrated manner, thus creating a strategic scenario whose chief focus will be the Horeca channel. The objective is to multiply synergies and exponentially increase business and networking opportunities in the hospitality industry, one of the most important areas of the Spanish economy.
