Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2025 prepares the biggest edition in its history
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) 2025 is set for a huge edition that will strengthen its position as the leading event in bridal fashion, wedding dresses and accessories worldwide. With 450 brands expected to participate, 12% more than in 2024, the event will be the most comprehensive showcase of the latest trends and a driving force for the fashion industry.
The upcoming edition of BBFW promises to be the largest in its history, with an increase in the number of companies, and a 29% growth in exhibition space compared to 2024. This year, in addition to Halls 1 and 2 at the Montjuïc venue, the event will add Hall 8, which will host the catwalk and the Fashion Village, and a new area in the Plaza del Universo, designed as a networking hub for buyers and professionals. This growth not only responds to the increase in demand, but also to the aim of providing a more complete and enriching experience for attendees.
Internationality will be one of the highlights of this edition, with 82% of participating brands coming from various countries, the highest percentage recorded to date. This diversity is reflected in a broad and global offering, ranging from emerging designers to established fashion houses, mainly from Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, Ukraine, Poland, and Turkey, among others.
The director of BBFW, Albasarí Caro, highlights, “We are going to offer in Barcelona the biggest and best bridal fashion event in the world held to date. We will bring together the latest designs from internationally renowned brands and haute couture, as well as creations from new designers and prestigious ateliers.” She adds, “BBFW has become the industry’s must-attend event for doing business and setting future trends, which is why the fair continues to grow in volume, opportunities, diversity, and internationality.”
Bridal Fashion Icons
Spanish talent will shine at the event with the participation of YolanCris, Sophie et Voilà, Isabel Sanchis, Tot-Hom, Cortana, and Marco & María, representatives of the excellence and creativity of national design. Renowned international brands will join them to provide a diverse and enriching vision of bridal fashion.
These include Temperley London (United Kingdom), The Atelier (Malaysia) and Modeca (Netherlands), as well as the Australian Mariana Hardwick and the British Sassi Holford, who are making their debut at this edition with fresh and innovative proposals. The trade show will also feature new additions, such as Grace Loves Lace, from Australia, renowned for its focus on sustainability, and The 2nd Skin Co. from Madrid, which will present its delicate, handmade creations.
American fashion will have a significant presence with iconic names like Justin Alexander, Morilee, Randy Fenoli, and Allure, reaffirming their relevance in the bridal industry. Europe will also be well represented with emblematic houses, including Savannah Miller, Halo & Co, Demetrios, and many other brands that will add richness and variety to the overall event landscape.
The outstanding presence of haute couture designers, reaffirming BBFW’s commitment to excellence in bridal fashion, will be a central theme of BBFW 2025. Barcelona Bridal Night, the gala evening of the show, will feature Vivienne Westwood, who will also present her collection in the exclusive ‘Showroom’ area of the Trade Show. She will share this area with other world-renowned designers such as Giambattista Valli, Ines di Santo, Georges Hobeika, Zuhair Murad, Stéphane Rolland, Jenny Packham, Tony Ward and Antonio Riva, who are returning to the Barcelona event.
Made in Barcelona
With the aim of boosting the national and international presence and growth of Catalan brands, BBFW will feature ‘The Edit Barcelona’ space, which will bring together local companies with growth potential.
Along these lines, Albasarí Caro notes that “this space is a sign of BBFW’s commitment to Barcelona-based companies, as well as its desire to boost their visibility and presence in the market. The space will host from emerging firms to artisan workshops that preserve the rich Catalan textile tradition, becoming a true ‘incubator’ of fashion for the brides of today and tomorrow.” For the firms, she adds, “it will be a new opportunity to connect after last year’s Barcelona Goes Bridal initiative at BBFW and also at the meetings that we hold regularly at the show to encourage the exchange of ideas, opportunities, challenges and solutions among all of them.”
Additionally, ‘The Edit’ aims to diversify its offering and highlight the importance of innovative design, and will therefore host other national and international brands that prioritize customization in their bridal dress designs.
International Business and Connections
Business and international connections The Buyers Program will attract buyers from over 80 countries to BBFW, especially from key markets such as the United States, South Korea, Australia, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Southeast Asia. This strategic effort seeks to strengthen the international network of contacts and foster high-impact business opportunities for brands and designers, reaffirming BBFW as a global business and industry driver.
The Fira de Barcelona event will take place from April 23 to 27. From April 23 to 26, the runway will showcase collections for 2026, while the Trade Show, from April 25 to 27, will offer the most outstanding commercial proposals that will define future trends.
